Do I need any experience to do a class?
Hekk no!! Our classes are designed so that any level of expertise will take something away. Just in case you needed a guide - on our booking menu you will see classes that are graded to "Beginner or Advanced".
Our cake classes are not about competition - It's about creating, using your creative flair and building your knowledge with professional guidance along the way.

How do we get to your Carlton Studio?

We are located at 78 Elgin Street, Carlton.  Between Rathdowne Street and Canning Street. Just a 5 minute walk  (1.8km) from the infamous Lygon Street. We have on-street parking but if you are catching public transport we are a 100m walk from Rathdowne Street and/ Elgin Street tram stop.

Are you a registered kitchen?

Yes, we are! We are registered under the City of Melbourne, so it allows you to have the peace of mind that we are up to standard. By doing this it also allows you to be able to take home all of the goodies that you create at the end of the class. 

The head baker Lina is also a qualified pastry chef - So you are in the hands of a professional who has been in the trade for over 8 years.

Should I book a class in advance?

Yes, we don't offer any walk-ins for our sessions. All of our classes can be booked via our online store.

How long are your class sessions?

They all range from 2-6 hours. The duration of the class is listed within the online booking section of our website.

What time should I arrive at my class?

We recommend that you arrive 15mins before the class commences. This will allow enough time to settle in before we get started. During this time you will check in with your teacher, put on an apron,  pick your sweet spot and get ready for your wonderful session to start.

Your session start time and date will be on your invoice. A copy of this was sent to your email once you paid online.

What should I wear/ bring to my class?

We advise you to wear anything comfortable and closed shoes. The aprons will protect you but just in case we do work with colour we advise not wearing your favourite cashmere sweater. Accidents do happen.

We advise you to bring a notebook if you wish to take any notes but other than that everything else is provided!

How old do I need to be to sit a class?

We recommend to be 16+ to sit our demonstration classes. Strictly over 18+ for our "Cake and Sip." If you do have a minor that is keen on a class - we strictly recommend booking a private session or a kid's birthday party that way adult supervision can be allowed.

Am I allowed to eat throughout the class?

Yes, of course. You are more than welcome to bring any snacks that you wish to have throughout the class. We can even organise a catering package for you.

The classes that are 3 hours or more will have a break in the middle for you to refresh. But in the 2 hours classes, we work straight through!

Cake I take my cake home with me at the end of the class?

Yes of course! What you create is yours to take home. We provide a box for your beautiful creation so it's easy for your to transport home and devour with friends or family.

Can I bring my children to my class?

You are more than welcome to bring your little one if they are 12 months or younger. Any older and it will be too dangerous for them as it is a registered commercial kitchen. But please get in touch and we will try our best to accommodate.

What is a  BYO Cake and Sip session?

Whether you are holding a hens party, team building event or a "just because" cake sesh with your friends -  In our easy-going environment you will have fun and learn a new hobby at the same time.

At Sweetly Styled Creative Studio we are all about having fun and creating something special! In these sessions, you can BYO any alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink you like, bring some tasting snacks as we provide you the tools and cake for you to take creative reign! You can follow the teacher or go rogue! We don't mind as long as you walk out with a beautiful cake and a wonderful experience with friends, a loved one or colleagues.

What if I can’t make it to my session?

We would be so disappointed if you couldn't make your session. We will try our very best to transfer you to another date if it is within 14 days' notice. You can also transfer your ticket to a friend! Just as long as you let us know their contact details.

No refunds will be issued - but we will try our best to accommodate you.
